"Movement (of) In-Between Forms" opens a space where movement, interaction, and material presence are intricately interwoven. Touch is not only allowed here but is an integral part of the concept.
The focus is on expansive works that explore the interactions between the body, architecture, and attention. Rather than dramatic gestures, Elke Dreier is interested in the invisible and fleeting—those in-between spaces and micro-performative actions that usually go unnoticed in everyday life: the casual brush, the brief pause, the subtle reaction to proximity and distance.
Her artistic practice spans drawing, video, performance, and sculpture. Through the precise observation of everyday movements, Dreier develops choreographies and systems of notation, where the fragmentation of the familiar becomes the starting point for a new artistic form. This creates a poetic vocabulary of corporeality that lies between art, dance, and daily life.
The exhibition is understood as an open exercise system that invites visitors to consciously perceive and physically engage with the space. In an increasingly digital world, Dreier’s work reminds us of the intelligence of the body and the irreplaceable quality of physical presence—an invitation to radical attention and joy in the movement within the in-between space.
